This last shows the number of posts and total hits in the following mods: news, lykos_reviews, mylinks, mydownloads, users, wfsections

I am having a bit of an issue getting the "recent items in a category" working. It just shows () for me on the default news mod.
Did I miss something to get it to function properly?

At some point I might try to get a drop down of valid categories, if I can be bothered. It is a low priority thou, cos I no longer use this block, only the stats block...

Your block counts news+forum posts and I thought it counted forum posts thus I saw a discrepancy between my forum post total and the block total.
False alarm, sorry about that. .
