@Mamba - Hey boss, I've been talking to Andrax (Luiz) about it. We think that there is some homework for us to do here in terms of bringing together the Brazilian XOOPS community, in order to hold a XOOPS Summit, it's a big deal of work. But it would be great, no doubt about it! By the way, that was a nice Brazilian party, congrats to the volunteers, well done!
@oswaldo - Hi, the "Portal do Aluno" is an application where students can access their academic related content. It's not part of the XOOPS site and it was developed by the college's IT department.

This is really very nice site. I just installed XOOPS and trying to customize it for my site. I have fair working knowledge on ECM softwares like Interwoven, Documentum but pretty new to XOOPS. Would you please share few tips how to start implementing XOOPS, what documents to refer etc. It would be of really great help. Thank you. BTW, I was reading through one financial magazine and it appears Brazil is most emerging markets now. Have a blast.

If you are looking for info about Xoops I think you're in the right place. There's plenty of information around here and some nice experts that can help you.
Once you install XOOPS it's nice to take a look in this list of modules made by Burning, it's really helpful. The first steps are covered in the FAQ area, take a look. The Forums are also a great source of information.
In my opinion, the more you look for solutions yourself the quicker you get skilled and familiarized with XOOPS and its components, and when you have a difficulty you can come here and ask for help. Install it, test some modules, try different themes and make it happen. XOOPS is very flexible and really reliable to use in websites of any size. See you around!
