Me and mojtabajml made new admin theme for XOOPS. It's called Oxygen, and is based on EXM Admin Theme. It's still beta, but I think you can use it .

Download :
you can download this theme from here.

Install :
after download and extract . move oxygen folder to

modules/system/class/gui

and select oxygen form general setting ( in admin area )

If you find bugs please tell me

Awesome job!!! The Ajax menus are fantastic! Love it!

I hope, there will be more cool ideas coming for the Admin User Interface, as it is important to make XOOPS as easy as possible for our new users!!!

May I can suggest to sort alphabetically the modules menu and to make the menus appear quicker ?

This is great stuff - very well done

I think that Hervé is right... but rather than the module name use the name for the module that is set by the user in modules' admin.

The ThAdmin interface does this very well so maybe no need to reinvent the wheel

Totally agree. I talked to DJ already about it, and we'll add it to XOOPS 2.3.4, since 2.3.3 is in RC stage and DJ didn't feel comfortable to add a new code, especially since Oxygen is still in Beta stage.

In the meantime, let's work on improving it. Let's think how could we make it more user friendly. For example, I would like to see a second layer of commands. Right now we have only set of icons on the right hand side, with all the icons being the same. It would be nice to have menus there with text, and small icons that are different.

The "Cumulus" module logo doesn't show in the main Control Panel View:
http://www.mysite.com/admin.php

It does show, however, in the module list view:

http://www. mysite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=modulesadmin

I just checked, and the same behavior is also in EXM, so it's not related to Oxygen, but it would be nice to fix it in both.

BTW - it would be great to have a mechanism to select set of icons (Oxygen or EXM, or something else in the future). This would make easier for EXM users to update to Oxygen, as they wouldn't have to relearn the icons. It would also make easier to provide custom localized set of icons, e.g. Persian, Russian)

I can confirm for the ExtGallery. The two Menu items "Photos" and "Watermark/Border" are correctly parsed into Menu and the the Menu Icons (on the right hand-side), but they are not made visible as Tabs. This works fine in EXM, so I guess, it's an Oxygen issue.

I had that problem with the publisher module. It happens that I was using global $adminmenu.

My solution was not to use the global $adminmenu but create my own global $publisher_adminmenu. Then in admin/menu.php, just after defining my menu, I used $publisher_adminmenu = $adminmenu (which contain my menu).

What happens is that core 'module' class uses include_once to include your menu. So if you are using a global variable and she gets overwrited by other modules you will not be able to use the class method to include your file again and overwrite that global with the correct value.

The correct solution is to fix this in module has I did, but you can also hack OXIGEN. Just edit system/guy/oxigen/oxigen.php

Search by this

 if (is_object($xoopsModule) || !empty($_GET['xoopsorgnews'])) { 
            return; 
        }

And add an extra line like this:

 if (is_object($xoopsModule) || !empty($_GET['xoopsorgnews'])) { 
            @include XOOPS_ROOT_PATH.'/modules/'.$xoopsModule->getVar('dirname').'/'.$xoopsModule->getInfo('adminmenu'); 
            return; 
        }

This will force the menu to be included again and populate the global with the correct values.

Very nice work on this admin theme.
I especially like the extra 'system overview'. I have installed this on all the sites I manage and noticed that I had forgot to add a .htaccess file to use php5!!!

Never suppress errors, deal with them in some manner. Suppressing errors adds more time to the routine, better if you deal with them correctly.

and
Oxygen>htdocs>modules>system

What goes where? Or is this installed in /modules?

Move the folder:

htdocs\modules\system\class\gui\oxygen\

to

/modules/system/class/gui/

htdocs/modules/system/class/gui is a correct location . and you can find oxygen folder here.

ok, I installed to
/modules/system/class/gui/oxygen

but when i set it as the default GUI I get a white screen showing only the system>preferences menu
