Updated version of Marcello Brandão's Yogurt, a simple Social Network for your XOOPS site.

Very recommended for communities sites.

It allows users to have a personal album of pictures, a personal album of videos from youtube, a audio album for mp3 files, a list of friends, a public wall for messages(scraps), to create communities (tribes), to adjust configs to set who can see what, it also allows admins to block users from using the site for a certain amount of time. The use of the module is very simple and the front end is clean and beatifull thanks to the lightbox2 feature and to jquery tabs.

One more thing:
In social networks, the front page collects latest info and not lead to user info as is now in yogurt.
(latest users scraches, latst photos, etc' ... )
this was asked and discussd b4 in the forums ....

I'd like to be able to set the default user preferences.

I'd like to be able to change the tab names without editing files. Tribes really doesn't cut it....

I'd like the tribe images to be resized rather than cropped.

I'd like the tribe images to have the OPTION of a border.

I'd like the tribe images to allow .gif and .png extensions.

I'd like an option to show full size or smaller thumbnails for tribes.

All in all, this module is making great progress! THANK YOU!!!!!

Yep, actually "TRIBES" is an important fature for community site, but it sounds "childish" .... should be "comunities" instead. .... should have ability to be linked to forums (or forum groups) and so on ....

Meaning that - the module as is now, only focuses on the user side (which is great, but not enough) .... and should also focus on the comunity side of th site ( as a social module should be) - this can be acheived by collecting info into the first module page and the tribes info pages

I changed all references from Tribe to Group via the language settings. It was a pain in the derriere but quite doable. And it made me look at the rest of the stuff there so I edited a few things to fit my site better. It was easy to do BUT NEW USERS WILL NOT KNOW TO DO THIS.

It would be nice if a gentle reminder that you can edit these things was included at the top of the preferences section with the path.

However, it seems the template is hardcoded so now I have to edit that as well and use a non-default template set.... Can the template read variables from the language file to set the names correctly?!? That would be much better.

This RC2 is NOT SAFE to use. I found a sql injection exploit. I´ll report this to the dev team for fixing. Thanks.

The problem with all those custom editing is that when a new version is going out, you need to do it all over again.

I did it for the previous version - so now I refer to suggest staff for future versions, so the module will be better and less staff will have to be changed.

wrecked,I have also the same problem. Previous version of yogurt seemed to work with pictures but not anymore. In addition, added movies don't stream from youtube server.

why cannot admins delete the message and pictures on yogurt mod do we need mysol to delete pictures which are unsuitable it can be good if we solve these problems on site..

before i install this

I wanted to know. Currently with the MP3 page as i can tell from reading.
All registered members would have access to upload an mp3 correct?

If so,
can i change this so its only available to GROUP permissions?
I have two groups that i created and i only want THEM to have this access

i dont get it

i uploaded over the old files
overwriting them

but nothing has changed?
its exactly the same and theres no AUDIO tab
nor do i see anything different in the ADMIN panel for Yogurt

hello?

ok so i got it installed and working but
when i try to upload a file
i see

Errors Returned While Uploading
No file uploaded

the php.ini file is allowing a 128MB file to upload
i have it set for only a 9MB file maximum in the Yogurt settings
but i am uploading a file that is less then 9mb

so why am i getting the error?

Thanks for this great module.

Custom User Profile is introduced againg with the XOOPS 2.3.0 RC2. Is it possible to use custom defined fields like age or something else can be used with yogurt? As far as I see Yogurt don't display custom defined registration fields.

There have been some (possible) vuln problems reported for this module, please conduct corresponding developers for application of the module.

BTW: I am listed as a project manager for the module on sourceforge but I was not aware of this release. Hope I can work on this module as soon as I get time.

i have been asking the same question for weeks on several sites including those of the creators

no reply

then i ask a simple question of "Where ELSE can i find support for this module?"

and again, no reply.

Most ppls will pay a lot of money to become invisible .... I wouldn't mind too ...

it seems phppp is going to do some changes to the module, now after 2.3 finale got out (as stated in a post some days ago) - so you better wait for changes.
seems that the only support is here @ the forums so search for solution or ask specific questions.

Now with XOOPS 2.3.1 final upgrade is yogurt network index blank page as all user index is blank page, another functions they ok.
When will you make the stable version?

how can you say this?

without any HACKS installed, i am trying to use this AS IS
and the following things arent working correctly

ALL users, even users who do NOT own the pics in say MY Gallery, have access to edit the pics.

The mp3 page doesnt work because i tried different ways to upload an mp3 or audio file
and i get an error. It doesnt matter how small the file is or how large an allowance i have via php.ini

Yogurt temlates benefits from previous versions and will be ok, templates in this version are unsound and have listed and your mistakes

Not the theme itself, but the RTL you probably use ...
I use Hebrew (RTL) and had the same issue with IE
I had quite a fight with the CSS to make it work more or less correctly....

If you won't succeed , I'll try to find it ...

I do hope someone will make something with the module, since it's upgrading every XOOPS site into a higher level, but it's structure is not logical !!! :
The front page of a social network should have the latest Network changes ( new members, new comments, new members pictures/videos ... and so on ... ) .... and a link to the member's page (which now is the default).
Leading member to his own page when he clicks "social network" is quite funny.
and of course all those bugs ...

One more thing: a nice addition will be letting the members to add RSS feeds to their profile.

when it comes to actual downloadable content
or content that can be added to an online news feed
i see merrit to the RSS feed link and its use.

However, the average person with their profile in someone elses XOOPS social network has no idea where, how, why to add an RSS feed link to some online news site or any other online outfit

more then 90% of them i can be positive know they can get downloads from iTune
but ill bet less then 10% of them even know that itunes is getting podcast info from
XML, RSS feeds like you suggested above.

With that in mind...... what good would someones profile be available via iTunes?

RSS don't have to be only podcusts from iTunes ..
it can be used for latest news from your site forum or latest events from your calendar events ...
Which means you can put more personal info in "your profile page" and that this info can be also dynamic ...

Sample: you can dynamically embed your company seminars in your profile page .... or your latest blog from your site ... etc'

COMPATIBILITY:
I am using:
Xoops 3.2.1
PHP version 4.4.9
MySql version 4.0.27

I cannot get install. I get error about SQL sytax when I try to install module from admin.

This an awesome module, It really needs to be given more attention,
this module needs to have a beter front page like previously mentioned, showing latest changes, better links to all members etc.
the module needs to joined to the main XOOPS core, for user profiles so all added there is added to yogurt.

If it is about $$$ let us know how we can help.
This has great potential but the updates are too slow.

Please bring top new changes, thank you for your attention.

I installed this module on my site. It is working great nut I have a question that once when I open my account on Yogurt I seen a text box with quick reply option with all scraps is this was an error with module. or there is am option to activate this quick reply box.
