NetPBM works fine here on windows, but eGallery like Gallery pass command lines in a way that's a nono on win32.
Here's a sample converted for windows:

As ya see you have to specify
1. Always the path to copy from & to: >
2. Each command on it's own line, since win32 dont support the pipe |
3. / slashes to \\ in the command itself (not neccesary for unlink(), but for exec() yes)
Note: you don't have to specify the .ppm for the tmp files, but prolly a good practice todo so.
IrfanView32 a image proggy on win32 can read/manipulate these files directly too ..so thats nice. But they need to be .PPM (Portable Pixel Map).
I suppose the above example would work just as fine on unix (just remove $cmd and change \\ to /), and if so, it'll work on both :)

btw, it works with or without the $cmd on winME here.
On win9x/ME its command.exe & on NT/XP cmd.exe
...not sure if it's realy realy needed. Prolly not, tho i think "cmd" is prolly mapped to "command" on NT/XP too for backwards compatibility ..again not sure :)
Also since exec() doesn't return anything on win32, you could simply check if the tmp file was created and is non zero-size to determine any eventual errors easily. Same for the unlink process.
P.S. I also bundeled all the latest netPBM files for win32. They are version 10.6 and pre-compiled by "GnuWin32" ..only 330Ko

Re: My_eGallery for XOOPS 3.04 releasedOne way to switch easily from win/unix is to simply keep all paths the unix way untill the last moment, and then just do something like this:

exec($exec);

Same for copying files, no need to change every single time ..only right before doing the actual copy/unlink. At least on gallery that is, as i see paths are getting tortured in every possible way
For unlink/copy/etc i actually always use the forward slashs here on win32 .. but for exec() you need the backwards slash.
