This is a bug fix version of WF-Sections. Well actually this version will allow you to run WF-Sections on php5 now without any issues.

I also fixed a few other minor issues. Whether or not I do any major work is a different story.

You can download it from here.

I will release a v1 to v2 script within the next few days.

Note:

WF-Sections is considered 'OLD' now and I am ashamed to say the coding standard in this module is well below what it should be (We all have to learn somewhere) and there are better coded modules than this out there for this job. So use at your own risk :-p

I would have to disagree with the last statement. The code may be old, but the layout and function of this module is really nice. I'm currently using it here on my website.

I mainly use it to showcase videos that we have. I think it works perfectly for it's purpose. Of course, that's just my opinion.

If you have downloaded WF-Section 2.92 (only) before the time and date of this comment, please download this update package and copy the files over the orginals.

A Correction in the title, this version is 2.92 and not 2.91.

Wf-section, and many others like wf-channel, has been some models for the actual modules (this include mine).

That's sad to see that you did not continue their development...

wow just what we needed because we just updated php5 and wf sections did not work.

ITs percfect and simple solution for us and really didnt want to port over to another module.

Just a quick question:

Didnt realize we were using version 1.0.1

To update to work with php 5 should we install/overwrite the existing 1.0.1 package with the one available on your site or upgrade version completely. to 2.92

Is update just overwriting files and updated module?

Thanks again reall excited to be able to use this feature again on our site.

we believe it was just a php 5 issue that made it not work for us.

I've used WF-Sections for a while now, and I agree with others that it's a simple but brilliant module. I would encourage you to keep up you efforts regarding the XOOPS development team, as I agree with your objections... XOOPS has gone a little stagnant, is confusing for new users trying just to find out how to do things, and what they need. I agree with all of your points.

Having said that, let me add... I won't be using Zarilla. It looks nice, and you appear to be sincere in you devlopment efforts, and I wish you nothing but success. But Xoops-Cube, and clones of XOOPS are FRACTURING the community and deviding resources when we all need to be sticking together and MAKING the XOOPS development team get on the ball and finish what they started, or at least to hand it off to others who are more interested in the community than their own agendas.

I am with you that XOOPS needs a spanking. I'm not with you in abandoning it just yet.

So all my best, and cheers for the update. I hope you re-consider developing for the community's sake, not the teams sake.

Any chance on this available?

I have version 1.01 and ever since our upgrade to php5 and mysql 5 it doesnt work. was thinking maybe I can just import the story data into a fresh install ofV2.92 or would that get messy?

catz hope to see your work online again soon. Will keep an eye out.

Meanwhile in case anyone ever curious..
For me SmartSection from the smartfactory came in handy. It had an import tool that worked well particulary because we had an early version of wfsection.

So far it appears completely compatable with the latest versions of php and mysql etc.
And very happy to have found it..

You cannot upgrade WF-Sections from 2.01 to V2.92

Before you try it:

WFSection 2.92 is not compatible with 2.01, and there is no upgrade script included in this release. WFSection 2.07 beta 1 should have included the upgrade script when it was released at the end of 2004, but the author never finished the code.

So, if you are planning to migrate and old 2.01 installation, keep in mind that you'll have to fix this issue yourself...

Is there anyway to adjust the size of the Acrobat window when its opens a PDF inline? The width is fine but the height is only about half a page of a document and you need to scroll to see it.

Im sure its an adjustment in one of the files, just curious if anyone knows for sure which one before I go searching through all of them.
