YAXS: Emma Watson Online Re-Designed

Emma Watson Online, an Emma Watson fan site using XOOPS, has been re-designed in anticipation of its 10,000th (activated) member. Thanks in part to XOOPS' flexible theme system, we've been able to easily able to put the new theme in place.

In addition, the flexibility of XOOPS has allowed us to extensively make the site search engine friendly with SEO URLs and meta tags. And not only is it more search engine friendly, its also more user friendly as well.

I like the video section. Could I know what kind of module you use? Currently I'm using smartmedia by smartfactory and xstreamer by xproject but I not fully satisfied.

I think that the header of the site could have a better design. But the style have designed professionally.

@mesol, its not a module, its just some custom php code and its using flowplayer (flv player)

I am very impressed. This is a really nice site. I am especially amazed at the amount of information - that has been a titanic job to collect. Well done.

The only design "flaw" I will mention is that you have both the main menu AND top navigation with (almost) the same links - I'd suggest you choose where they should be, once and for all

Keep up the good work and I hope that you will get many visitors in the future.

im really impressed with your Up-to-date site contents.
but just a bad structure you are using too much popups in bio and fanfiction part and maybe others i think users and also crawlers dont like that.

you are doing a nice job my HP mate!

Amazing site, the design is great nice and clean and uncluttered. Theres plenty of content to.

I like the fanlisting thing in fanorama, is that a standard guestbook module? has it been customized or anything, would you be willing to share it or sell it? I would really like something like that for my michael jackson site.

Thanks Mith, and good to see you back on the site. Are you still working on the development of XOOPS?

@martyboy, the fan listing uses the xfguestbook module with some URL re-writing.

I appreciate all the design tips everyone is giving me, its really helpful and I'll be sure look to into all those areas.

i like ginny from harry potter better

the custom functions are really good, particularly the videos.

i think the top navbar should use javascript.

ewonline the re-style is great but i need to know how you can make urls of your news module...

i have also read your past post into this site but i have understand nothig...

please, for all the XOOPS community, take few of your time and post a guide to make this...

@slyss79, i was actually hoping someone else would, since I did post the source code for my "hacked up" news module and the mod_rewrite rules that are necessary to do so. I simply don't have the time, even updating that site is infrequent due to my lack of time.

I'm very confident anyone with knowledge of php will be able to make it work.
