Modules: GoogleMaps 0.8 for Xoops 2.2x

This version of GoogleMaps module is dedicated to Xoops 2.2x only. That version has been released recently.

Due to the fact that Xoops 2.2x uses a dynamic management for Profile data, some adaptations have been made so that the Profil Centric template is fully operational.

Please read readme file before installation/ upgrade.

- To Xoops 2.x users: you will find the 2.0x version here.
- current dev are dedicated to a better category management ( be able to associate a dedicated marker per category) and to blocks

Thanks for the great module!
When i want to add a new point, the map displayed will be always in "Map" view and show the whole world map. How can i change this default view to a particular category view? (let say my first category)

This is because i will use it for a neighbourhood only and display the world map view and then slowly browse to the neighbourhood to add a point will be a bit tedious.

hello,

for now, the first cat is used as default view.
you have to create the first cat as desired.

I have created the first category and i can see it is shown as default view in the module index page.
However, when i want to add a point, the default view shown is a world map. It would be great if this default view can be set to the first category as well.

Fantastic improvements over earlier versions. Thank you very much! One little problem I've encountered, and two suggestion/feature requests (version 0.8 for XOOPS 2.2):

- Problem: When I open the map in default view (i.e. first category to which it defaults), then click on one of the points from the "last added" line which does not belong to the first (default) category, nothing happens, or I get transported to the point with the same order within the first category. Or in fact to what looks to me like complete random points. Haven't quite figured that out. Those "last added" points only seem to work if I first select the category to which they belong.

- Suggestion: I would prefer to have the list of points within a category back, instead of the "last added," which, to me, is of little use. If you could make that optional or something...

- Feature request: User management for admins. Seeing somewhere which user has added which point.

Just suggestions. I know I cannot expect to get it all as I want it, much less since I'm not able to code it myself. Many thanks for working on the module which, after all, accounts for a serious share of all the visits I get at my site.

Nice improvement, great work!

Features that would be nice:
A) Option of adding different icons to different markers, instead of just the standard googlemap-icon.
B) Option of adding an onclick-event to some markers, resulting in map going to another category.
C) Option of having 'List of points' instead of 'last added' EDIT: I've solved this. The solution is to go to preferences and set 'Number of "Last Points" to display' to 9999 and change "Last Points" in main.php to "List of points". Simple yet effective.

Oh I like this project a lot, so I guess I'll keep posting here.

A) How do I change the marker-icon to my own?

B) Can I let users delete the points they have added?

C) I want to add images in the information-boxes and this works fine with the [img]-tag. However when height and width are not specified, the map does not know how big to make the bubbles. This often results in info-text appearing outside of the bubble. I've tried [img height=100] and with [img height="100"]. Neither does work. How can I rectify this problem? NB [img align=right] does for some reason work.

D) I'd like to have the option (different needs for different maps) of having regular information-boxes with no tabbed browsing (no direction-tab) in the info-window. Anyone know how to get that?

E) Another feature-request: Link in info-window called "Zoom". Clicking it will zoom in to the zoom-level set when adding/modifying the point (like when it does when you click the 'Last points' links)
