I think selling commercial themes is a fine way to earn money, but why advertise on a site where everything else is free (themes and modules). I think if this post was submitted under YAXS as a commercial theme selling company I morally had less problems with it. And I may be wrong at this, but your own main website theme is one people can download and use freely on their own site. But hey, who am I?

Plus, once more, Free Software is about Freedom, not gratis software. So it's not a requirement for themes to be free (especially since images are not licensed under the GPL).
So, to answer your question LB, I think that as long as the service you are providing has a direct relevance for XOOPS users (not just HTML templates but XOOPS themes, for instance), sure, you can post it here as a way of advertising your services and products.
We're working on creating a business directory on this site for that purpose. Makes it easier for our users to find a company that provides services to them. What XOOPS.org will add is a transparant certification, that ensures the services and products are directly related to XOOPS.

and i think happend anytime someone want to expand or make a projet bigger.but let think a little bit, if I, xoopsdesign and Goxoops (forgive me if i dont mention all the XOOPS sellers) make paid themes, dont you think many more programmers are going to use the system.because the paid theme have better look than the Free Themes ...
point 2. , this theme took me more than 4 hours to have it ready for download,usually a designer charge you from $9 to $40 bucks (maybe more) per hour, so i think 20 bucks is a good deal.( plus am offering some support for helping the buyer in installing or making some changes, if needed,as long as is a reasonable request)
Point3.I didnt intend to use xoops.org for a "Online commercial" for the theme, my intention was to let know the community that there is 1 option from xdigitalnet to have your XOOPS a better look if you are willing to paid a small amout of money.
Point4, If you see in the Themes page, i also give a away a Free theme, wich have similar quality to this one.so my contribution to the comunity is in both ways
thats my opinion.. so..dont cut the wings to the people who is interested in the project and want to give more option to xoops
