I would imagine that you would have to go through and manually rename all the fields in the database? I'm looking to do something similar with wfsections but it isn't quite working the way I need it to.

Though a few comments:
2 or 4 less pixels from the main theme table would remove the horizonal scroll from my 800x600 res test screen !!!
the YYZ on the top left needs a little cleanup (looks as if was a 'non 100% quality JPG' and turned into gif with no proper cleaning...
but again, good use of colors and the simplicity of using the right modules make the site very nice to the eyes .....

I'm glad to see a solid demonstration of what can be accomplished with that approach.
We have found the biggest drawback is the article maintenance. WF-Channel gives you complete flexibility over the appearance of the page, but all the pages are "flat", there's no hierarchy of relationships between them. You have to enforce that simply by linking between them in the correct way based on whatever structure you want to create.
This makes WF-Channel great for small "About Us" kind of sections, but I imagine you'll run into a challenge as they start to fill up these sections with lots of articles. We have that problem with our Online Help section, which we are doing this way. It is divided into many sub sections, which then link further down into specific task pages with steps. And in the WF-Channel interface, they're all just listed together, one page after another, even though "How to post in the forums" is navigationally a sub page of "Using the Forums".
Plus you have to manually link between pages by knowing the page ID, no easy way to simply link "Using the Forums" to "How to post in the forums".
I can imagine a more robust interface for managing a large number of pages with complex relationships between them. We are working with a new module called Pageworks which we will be releasing in Beta soon on dev.xoops.org and eventually it may have some of these necessary features.

Re: YYZ Lifestyle MagazineLoved it and want to do a site like it (instead of using Mam**) but will wait a bit until the mod majestics do their thing for us non techies - one thing I did miss was a contact form or e-mail the editor feature.

Re: YYZ Lifestyle MagazineI deliberately took out the contact form, but there is a contact info and media kit that can be accessed by clicking on the telephone booth on the left-hand side of the main page under the heading "Contact Information".
I should make it more obvious by putting some text underneath the phone booth saying "Click Here To Contact Us".
