Re: Alternative sections 1.4Did ya see install.txt? If your updating, then there's an exact order in which it must be installed n updated since the directory & db tables change names.
Re: Alternative sections 1.4Jascha - when I tried installing 1.4 I got the same type error you did. Then, I went to the module admin and saw that Sections 1.4 was on the list and I decided I'd activate it. It worked, but my previous messages didn't show. I then tried the install again - and this time it recognized the module and the install modified the mysql without a hitch.
So, it appears you may have to activate it, then run the install.php. That's what worked for me.
