I would like to see the ability to edit the item links in the main menu

for instance, when clicking on an item in the main menu, you can then see subcategories in the main menu. what if you don't want one or all to show?

or, a module creates an index page that links to the main menu. you don't want to go to the index page, you want to go to the page you want.

The module Myquiz is a good example. If you click on the main menu item you go to a category page. From the category page you go to an index page of quizzes in that category. I want to be able to modify the main menu link to go directly to a quiz

At the present time, you can't modify anything in the main menu, with the exception of the item name, which is done in module control.

Thanks for listening!

Just disable the Main menu in Admin Blocks, and install MyMenu module.

Then you can customize it any way you want.

tried that

mymenu didn't work on 2.5.6, which is disappointing because i LOVE Trabis's work

I just downloaded the most recent version from sourceforge

from this post

the block is set to visible but you can't see it

and i think it should be a feature of Xoops and not an add in module

Chefry, you REALLY need to learn how to communicate issues

"It didn't work" doesn't help in any shape and form to diagnose an issue and fix it. What didn't work? On my test site MyMenu works just fine.

This is the same if I would come to you and told you that you recipe didn't work. Now what? As a Chef, do you have any idea WHAT was wrong with the recipe, and how can you fix it? Was it too much salt or other stuff, did I cooked it too long, etc.

Let's help each other with precise info helping me to replicate the issue on my end.

[EDIT]

I see that you've added that the menu block is not visible.

This is me setup:

- block is set to "All pages"
- skin is set to "mainmenu"
- Use skin from theme is set to "No"
- Display method: Display this block
- groups are set to all groups
- block visible is set to Yes.

ok, works better, but in the Xoops main menu if there are sub items, they show only after you click on a link. For example: excal, when you click on "Calendar" in the main menu it goes to excal, but then you also see "Calendar Month", " Calendar Week", etc

in My menu you see it as a sub item, but it always shows

And can you explain please, "isowner" and "isnotowner", please

By the Way, Good Morning!

In Preferences it has to be set to xotheme not xoopstpl

Thanks for the help
