i think this topic is necessary because i myself found some errors in profile module so the community should have too much:
1- versioning issue: we have an official profile module that has been released with each core. the latest version is 1.63 and it is released with xoops 2.5.5
there is another one called "Profile - Tom Foley's Social Networks EditionCommunity" the latest version is 1.78
That has been addressed to many times in the forum.
2- stability issue:
Currently it consumed more resources than expected. this module needs more attention as a core module.
