Good afternoon:

I work a few days on this website, I have yet much to be finished, but I think, more or less on track, so I present www.diariodeandalucia.es I would end it with your advice and criticism, as what may seem to me good or bad the rest of us it may seem otherwise.

I think, it is very nice content. The only recommendation I would have is to spice it up a little bit color-wise in order to make it more attractive.

Your site looks very good. Don't spice up the coloring to much, as the content and many pictures you use speak for themselves.

Just one remark, the two scrolling elements in the top make the site somewhat noisy. I would drop both or at least the horizontal one. And Slow down the right scrollblock, it's going to fast to read it properly now.

What's you goal with the calendar block? It fills some space but I don't see any use in placing it on a newssite like yours

I think, the key is to create a certain unique "personality" for the Website, so it doesn't look like just another Website. Something when people browse, they will recognize it right away.

And you don't need a lot of colors, but whatever you have, they need to create a nice and stylish combination.

There are tons of templates for newspapers/magazines that could provide inspiration. For example:

Thank you very much for your "as usual" quick response Flipse.

As you say I have removed the top block in motion, you're right and it's too confusing.

The right block is the "latest news block module News" and that is the lowest speed at which it works.

What calendar you're right too, but my intention is to add dates of festivals, events, concerts etc etc occurring in my community, but so far I have not had time to do anything, this website is a great work and the news I have to add them manually and I go besides giving content and that takes me a long time.

This is the first newspaper I see in xoops and I find it rather difficult to shape "as well I have little experience making websites", but with your advice and help I think I can make a good web based on xoops.

You have every reason mamba, and perhaps need to add more colors, but I must say also, that the colors of the flag of my community, "the group targeted by the newspaper" are green and white, and that's why what I use.

If you see sites like:

http://www.elmundo.es/
http://www.abc.es/

which are the most read in Spanish, basic colors used in their texts and leave more bright colors for banners and advertising.

About what the theme, I must tell you that I have little time designing websites and I have no experience so that's why I can not complicate much modifying or creating themes, but the truth is that there are very few themes xoops for online newspapers, "bleek-news" and "magazyne-x" redmexico I could not buy because I found it impossible to contact bitc3ro.

Just to thank both the valuable help they give me.

I would advise you to drop the awful scrolling block. It's just repeating content already shown on your mainpage, showing scrolling tekst in webpages is what our grandparents did many years ago As a visitor I like to look around the content in my own tempo, headlines pumping around make me only nervous.
