Standard LDAP Directory authentication option problem

Nothing came up after a search and there doesn't seem to any documentation laying around so am hoping some one can help.

I'm unable to get this to work with a Novell Groupwise ldap tree.

I've got other web apps using the ldap tree so I don't think its a user problem..

Please advise.
