Publisher was recently updated

When trying to edit an existing article a number of things happen.

1) looking at the user side, the edit is not done.

2) looking at the backend the edit was done

3) on the user side the problem below appears

Resized Image

4) the date of the article was updated to today. This should have put it in the recent articles block. It did... once. After checking the edit (because the edit wasn't showing), it stopped showing in the block

5) in the backend module summary, all articles, does not show an updated publish date. right clicking on the title of the article to display it shows the front end view unedited. using the edit button in the backend shows the article edited, but the date is not adjusted.

6) in the backed all published articles list, the article is showing at the top, edited. however, right clicking to show the user view shows an unedited article.

The only way to fix these is to go into the xoops_data/caches and clear them by ftp. This was NOT a problem before the update

Regarding clearing the cache, check if you have set Module wide cache for publisher module in the preferences -> system options -> General settings.

Chefry, last version of publisher(SVN) only works on XOOPS 2.5.2

You should revert publisher and wait for next XOOPS release.

I assume you have tortoise SVN and a publisher folder mirroring to xuups google code repository.

Right click on publisher folder and in TortoiseSVN submenu choose "Update to revision". On the update box click on "show log". When the log pops up, select the revision before "onCache" support.

Your publisher folder should then update to the working revision. You can then use TortoiseSvn checkout and upload the generated folder to your live server.
