Few months ago I upgraded one client site from Xoops 2.4.x to 2.5.0 and in that time I haven't found any errors, and recently I changed hosting partner and all site is tranfered to new server.
Site (fran-lhotka.hr) is working but I nobody can't login and add news or anything else. On my computer there is (possibly) sesion from that time and only from that computer I can go to admin side but can't turn on error check, or any other settings in any module. Also I see there is no new files in cache. I tried to reset privilege for every cache folder from 777 to 444 and back to 777. I tried to update to 2.5.1a and it sais it is on this version but still no luck witk this problem.
I'm not sure what can I do now.
Please help.

Well, you're an experienced XOOPSer, so I assume that you've checked all the obvious things:

- entries in the mainfile.php that they point to cache directories
- making sure that there is no conflict between mainfile.php and secure.php located in in the secure path
- you've cleared the session table

If there are no files in the cache directory then it seems like XOOPS can not find it, so you need to find out first what is wrong there

1. cache paths are ok in mainfile.php
2. only secure.php I found is in xoops_data/data directory and there is nothing uncommented there
3. I'm afraid if I clear session table I wouldn't be able to login as admin again. As I said now I can login only with one computer.

Well, noone answered on my last question so I chose to delete sessions enters in database. Session table was empty and again I can go to admin part of site with Google chrome without logging as I do before but with mozilla I can't. I'm not sure what can I do. When I try to login everything looks ok ater login but it isn't logged and after first click on any button it sais it isn't logged, or if I try to enter admin part it sais I don't have rights to this side of site and I'm unlogged again.

Only part you said Mamba I can't/don't know how to chech is secure.php. I can't find it where you said it suppose to be

1) Did you repair the tables? Try it and see if it made a difference in Firefox.

2) secure.php is created when you install 2.5.0. If you didn't install it, then it might not be there, which is OK if all the data in mainfile.php is correct.

But for security purposes, I would suggest to create secure.php. In order to see how it should be done, install XOOPS 2.5.1 on your local PC, and study the mainfile.php and secure php. All the database info should be in secure.php, and mainfile.php should point to secure.php

Thanks for fast replay.
I tried before to repar tables but nothing happend, it sais that he succed and thats all.
I deleted manualy and with xoops to delete sesions but nothing happend.
Als if I want change something in global admin or group properties it sais xoops back me to page where I was before and does not any change in setings (and I'm admin).
I made upgrade from 2.4.4 (if I'm not wrong) to 2.5.0. and after I found this error I upgrade to 2.5.1 last time but it didn't help.
Also, my mainfile.php looks like it look before 2.5.0 and I don't have secure.php in root.
I don't know what can I do now
First time with this kind of problem.

It seems like it is working now.

We have:

- recompiled the System module
- repaired all tables
- emptied the Sessions table
- cleared the Cache directories

I suspect, something was out of sync.
