I've spent over eight hours figuring out how and why my modules aren't appearing in the Module section to click them to initiate installation. They worked once (installed WordBook), then tried a different open source program (OpenPHP), then went back to Xoops.

I've placed the modules in the correct directory and made sure they are not the zip files, but the actual folders holding the contents (just like the system folder which comes with Xoops).

The Profile & Protector modules are in my Modules folder and are also not appearing.

I've even had my hosting service wipe my server clean! I've checked permissions and they are good to go too.

What else is there to do?

Wow, problem solved. Do the hardest things in the morning everyone. What took me eight hours yesterday took me fifteen minutes today.
