Trying to install but knocked my page offline

I followed the directions in the installation post but for some reason after moving the contents of the htdocs folder to the htdocs folder on my site, it knocks my site offline and will not allow to install xoops. What am I doing wrong here?

I am not sure what it means.
What server and PHP version are you using? You should have PHP 5.2+ for XOOPS 2.5.0
