Hello

Have just installed XOOPS, and the 'bare bones' set up is fine. Have now started to add modules, and come across the perennial blank admin page problem. The affected module is 'Event Guide'. I can view the modules Preferences, but if I click on the module icon on the system page, a blank page appears. I have tried turning on PHP, MySQL and Smarty debugging. For all other pages the debugging window refreshes and displays relevant info, but for Event Guide the debugging window does not refresh or show any reporting.

The web browser path is
http://localhost/modules/eguide/admin/help.php

I've also installed Protector and Xoops Info, and they work fine.

Thaks in advance.

Heres my system info:
XOOPS Version: 2.5.0
Module Name/Version: Event Guide 2.63
PHP Version: 5.3.2
MySQL Version: 5.1.44
Web Server Software: Apache 2.0.63 (UNIX), running under MAMP
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5.8
Current theme: Default zetagenesis
Custom template: No
PHP Debug Messages: None, see note above
MySQL Debug Messages None, see note note above
Smarty Debug Messages: None, see note note above

Could not reproduce it. What browser are you using?

Try following link:

http://localhost/modules/eguide/admin/

which will get you to the module itself.

BTW - have you installed XOOPS directly in the root of your "localhost"?

Thanks for the reply.

Browsers are latest versions of Firefox and Safari - does not work with either.

The path you supplied to ../eguide/admin/ displays a blank page, and the debugger does not refresh.

XOOPS is installed in the root 'htdocs' folder of MAMP. I have moved 'xoops-data' and 'xoops-lib' out of the root, and renamed them.

I'm rechecking the install notes, and about to install a new module to see if that works.

Have you checked file permissions for the modules? Sometimes bad file permissions can cause this. You can also totally uninstall and remove the module and try reinstalling it. You could have a bad archive or something else happened?
