Facebook Like button - a heads up

I quite liked the idea of the Facebook 'Like' button when I first saw it, that was until I read this article

Putting the button on your site would be OK (asssuming you're honest) but it appears that the button is being misused on some sites to distribute spam via Facebook newsfeeds.

Some more stuff here

Thankfully for me, I am a miserable sod and don't really like anything.
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

I suppose that we're ok wit that :) There always be spammers and bot's :)

Facebook is full of this crap so you should use same caution as when reciving a suspect spam email... You wouldn't fall for it if it was in your spam box... do the same on Facebook... :)

I've noticed more and more facebook is getting full of fake people adding me wanting me to go to dating sites, asked my friends they don't have the same problem as they don't have single relationship status and i'm male so i'm more likely to go rooting to females, which is possibly true but i don't want it forced on me every other day! lol i think this will be the death of facebook in the long run.

Don't accept fake people as friends or change your status... problem gone... :)
