We are all aware of XOOPS old and inefficent comment system.

There is no news that anything will change in future, so here is few solutions that I've found.

This is external comment system, but it's easy to integrate in XOOPS or any other CMS.

http://disqus.com

or

http://intensedebate.com

Intsallation is easy. Make an account on these sites and select general os custom installation (there are plugins for WP, Joomla, Blogger etc. so choose none of that). Then copy installation code in template (eg. in News just above XOOPS comment system). That's all.

If you like, you could customise to have Facebook, Twitter or open id connect or login.

After test, you can remove XOOPS comment system, and your visitors could comment without register on your site or be known as anonymous.

There is no XOOPS plugins for now, but who knows... :)

Yeah, I know! Tnx!

Xoops now could be used for semi-professional work, maybe full pro :)
