I want to remove the 'modules' folder from the URL and just show site.com/folder. I tried some URL rewrite scripts related to XOOPS but they all had an error somewhere. I am not so much concerned about 'Friendly URLs'. If anyone has a method where I totally place my modules in the XOOPS root then please give some details. Thanks

noo-b thanks for the suggestion. It works but has some issues.
When I enter the direct URL like site.com/contact I get a 404 error but if I do site.com/contact/ the page shows properly. How can I instruct the .htaccess to locate the page wether it has the trailing slash or not?
