I've looked at the Module Packs and installed some of the community personal ones and they do most of what I want so far. I've now looked into the 3rd party modules section trying to find some that are relevant and respectable and then I can import data from the site as it currently stands.

The number of votes on available modules aren't very reassuring, phpBB has been around a little longer than XOOPS and their top ratings are in the 1000s. I'm not entirely sure what to use and I don't want to spend days trying them all out when this is the 3rd system I've tried.

What I'm looking for that doesn't seem to be covered in the default install or the community and personal packs:
user submitted image gallery,
event submitter and calendar,
user blogs (in addition to the site blog/news ),
Simple ordering shop,
Perhaps some social tools beyond PMs.

Recommendations?
