Thank you for reading.

Starting now, XOOPS has pledged to give module developers the support, documentation and the most importantly, the tools you will required to help you create, better safer and easier to maintain modules.

We want to introduce a Module Framework into the XOOPS Core, so you don’t have to keep rewriting the same code over and over again, or without having to create your own routines because they are not available within the core. We know how important this is too many of you developers, and we understand the need for real change and that starts right now.

There is no quick fix solution to this problem and we will not take that road. So please don’t expect a new framework next week, it is just not going to happen.

So what is the solution?

We need to find out from all module developers what their needs are, and what resources we have to complete the required job. Therefore, we need to do a fact finding mission to collect as much data you can give us, and then, create a clear and concise roadmap that can be implement over a period of time.

Can you please use the following Forum to share your thoughts and code please:

Many thanks
