I installed eXtcal 2.1.6. Then I created a test category. I noticed that it allows you to add the default smilies to the category description. However when you view the category description in an event. The smilie just shows the code for the smilie. Anyone know how to get the smilies to show? This might not be a feature of the module, but it seems a little useless to let you add smilies, if they wont show up. Perhaps the module could be hacked a bit?

Rather than hack the module, update to the latest version 2.2.2 which is available fromhttp://www.zoullou.net/

I upgraded a moment ago, and I have the problem. O discovered that the problem isn't isolated to this module. Any time I use the extra smilies like

they don't show up. Do I need to install something to use these smilies?

IIRC, this was a problem with an earlier version of XOOPS (2.0.x branch) which was fixed as part of an update to the core.

What version of XOOPS are you using?

It was the update from 2.0.18 to 2.0.18.1 that fixed the smiley problem
