I have been building up my site with modules. Setting up a news module. I logged off so I could see what a user view would look like and the system wouldn't let me login again. Went through the send new password procedures. I now can login but only as a reg user. no permissions no access to admin.php

Can you help ? PS I checked the DBase I am the only reg user

Sounds like you are not a member of the "webmasters" user-group for your site.

If you have access to your db (via phpMyAdmin for example) you'll need to edit this table:

prefix_groups_users_link

Browse the table and find your uid in the list (should be easy!). Click on edit, change the value in the "groupid" field to 1 (it sounds like it is 2 at the moment) and save the changes.

I did this but my login still doesn't make me part of the webmasters group

Any other ideas

UPDATE!!!! deleted cookies and now I can login with administration. Thanks you so much. Rick
