Upgrading from CBB 1.16 to CBB 3.0.8

I am using CBB 1.16 my question is can I update and use CBB (newbb) 3.0.8 with XOOPS 2.3?

CBB1.16 runs perfectly with 2.3, 3.08 has some issues, but 4.0 is about the be released. you'd better to wait for 4.0, and so make use of CBB1.16 during that time

Can you expand on this? Many folks on here (me included) use CBB 3.08 and, from my perspective, this alone will make me think about upgrading to 2.3.0 (which I really want to do!).

I'd be grateful for any knowledge that you can share. How serious are the "issues"?

depending of your platform, issues are not so hard.
please read this.
Most of the case the module works, but there are exceptions.
Do synergy or die.
