Convert MySQL 4 to 5

But what am I converting from? In my hosts little fact file, it says the default tends to be CP1252, but when I go to the PHPAdmin from my particular database it says on the upper right.....ISO-8859-1 for the language.

So how do I determine which it really is......and what should I convert it too?

Thanks

CP1252 is Windows-1252. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows-1252 for more.

You can set the encoding to whatever you want. You do not have to go with the default.

BTW import your data into MySQL5 to fully update your tables.
