but I still cannot get it to show the correct size the banner is 800 x 150 so i changed it in the theme.php

I don't know what to do in the style.css that would fix it?

Hi,

you may need to clear templates cache - delete all files except index.html from templates_c folder.

Also make sure that in system preferences: Check templates for modifications ? is set to YES.

where can i find theme.php?

This is from XOOPS 1.* themes. They are also not based on smarty.

In XOOPS 2.* themes you have theme.html.
