Hi,

xoops is this project. It started life as a "fork" of PhpNuke

xoopscube is a "fork" of XOOPS (stated in about 2005, IIRC)

xoopsphere is a development of XOOPS and is part of this project. I think much of it will find its way into XOOPS v3
