Hi All,

I am testing XOOPS and uploaded all the content of the htdocs directory.

when i browsed to the installation page , at the end of it and while saving configuration i got the following error !!

any idea why ?!

Folders: chmod 755

Exceptions: chmod 777* (may be able to use 755 or 775 on some hosting accounts)
cache/
templates_c/
uploads/

Files: chmod 644

Exceptions: chmod 444 mainfile.php

hi setting it to 444 gives the following error

Hi Jimmy,

i set the permission of the 3 directories and on the mainfile as well, but it didnt work yet !

any other ideas

mainfile.php should be CHMOD 777 during installation.

change it to 444 afterwards

Hi JAVesey,

i set all 3 directories, and file to 777 permissions.

but same pages i am getting as my first post, in the check i recieve that all directories and files are writable and then once it process to save configurations, it tells me that mainfile is not writable !!
