Hi Guys,

I have installed a few different content modules & I must be missing something.
The module installs ok but i can't add, change or create pages.

I get the following menu in admin come up

- Add Content

- Add PageWrap

- Edit/Delete Content

- Preferences

This is probably really basic & I just can't figure it out.

Pleae help!

Regards

Richard

Clicking the add content gives you a blank (white) page?

What module is it exactly?

Hi,

I've installed xt-conteudo, tiny content etc. they all seem to do the same.

'Tiny Content' was the inspiration for 'XT-Contuedo'... which became 'Content' (0.5 and 0.6) which became 'Content.1.0' which is why they all look similar.

I would avoid Tiny Content and XT-Contuedo as they are both very old.

I use Content 0.6 (with custom page titles) and it works fine with XOOPS 2.0.16. I believe 'Mastop Publish' is a pretty good content module and also quite new so it should be OK with the latest Xoops.

Your PHP and MySQL version will have a bearing on whether these modules work, or simply deliver a blank page. Of course, it would be nice to know compatibility in advance... but there you go. Welcome to the world of open-source software.

Could it be a permissions problem.

Check GROUPS and make sure you have permissions set right for the new module.

Ok I have just installed Content. Downloaded v0.6 but it turns out to be v0.5!
Anyway still getting just the menu up in admin.

Content
- Add Content

- Add PageWrap

- Edit/Delete Content

- Order Site Menu Block

- Order Site Menu Block

- Preferences

It just returns to this page on ad content etc.

Server spec?

The Content module probably still says 0.5 in admin (the custom page titles was only a minor change). You need to apply a small hack to get it to work. See this post.

Hi Peekay,

changed the file as said but the admin just gave me a complete blank white screen ;-(

Is it something to do with the zoopseditor?
Have installed all I have found but am I to say what one works with the module or will it auto find & use it. Not really following this but you may have guessed that!

If you're using PHP 5 or MySQL 5 it could simply be that the module doesn't work with those versions. It may not work with XOOPS 2.0.18. I can't say for sure, because I use PHP/MySQL 4 and XOOPS 2.0.16.

Content 0.6 comes with FCKEditor as the default WYSIWYG editor (if you enable it in the module prefs). The editor is included with the module so you don't need to install it.

If you get no joy, I would try MastTop Publish which is a bit more up to date.
