PROBLEM:
After what seemed to be a succesful install when I go to any page it just comes up blank. Both the index.php and admin.php are blank so I can't edit or check anything. Also if I go back to the install I see this below:

"Error in my_thread_global_end(): 1 threads didn't exit"

I searched and the thread similar to this one didn't help, as I can't turn on debug in the admin section.

Well I got it all working using XAMPP, but if someone has an idea what was wrong I'd like to hear it.
