Problems Change of Domain Name

I recently changed the configuration of my hosting plan to allow for multiple sites. I changed the domain name in the mainfile.php on two of my sites. When I did this I lost all formatting from the theme. I then changed the domain back to the original domain name (direct url) and it works fine. Any thoughts?

Are your theme with css copied to the new domain?

Yes they are. I even tried clearing the cache. no change

Had to take off the www from the virtual path. Now works.
