I'm in a strange situation. My servis provider (webhosting) just turned off news/article.php script because someone was sending through that script spam. Is that posssible? Do you know about this issue?

I have XOOPS 2.0.13.2 and news 1.1

However, your versions of XOOPS itself and the news module are old now. Both have been upgraded several times since those releases and it is probable that those updates have included some security fixes.

If it were my site I'd upgrade to XOOPS 2.0.18.1 and news 1.56. Also, I'd make sure that my permissions were tied down as to what user-groups are allowed to post.
