I am hoping someone has had the same problem as me before and knows how to fix it.

I am running CBB 2, and it all works fine, apart from one little thing, members can attach pictures to their posts etc... and it is fine for about 3-4 weeks, after that miraculously the post, once clicked on goes to a white page, so I did some investigation and deleted the attachment text from the database for that post, and funnily enough it worked. I thought it was just a one off, but yet again, about 3 weeks after a member posted it, it has happened again....

What is going on??? Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks in advance

What version of XOOPS and what version of php are you running? Have either of these changed recently?

Have you changed any of your Forums config, such as allowed attachment types or size of attachment?

By "CBB 2", I think you mean CBB 2.32, yes? If so then, maybe you could consider updating to CBB3.08; CBB 2.32 is an old module now and the current version is well developed and bugs have been sorted out.

Don't forget forget that CBB3.08 needs both Frameworks and xoopseditors. Search on here for links to them.

Sorry I can't be more constructive - perhaps someone else could be?

Hi mate, thanks for the reply.

PHP version 5
Xoops version 2.0.16

I have upgraded to CBB 3 and it is still a problem, I updated all of my modules just to see and it still is there.

Thanks anyway, even if you can't help, you still took the time to reply.

Is protector installed?

Can you provide related attachments?

Hi mate, what is protector?

Also, the attachments are just images (.jpg), they all work fine for so long (about 3 weeks) and then cause the problem??

Hi,

protector is module from GiJoe - it is protecting your XOOPS (if yo have it installed).

As for the image upload, there could be many reasons for the problem:

-It can be too big file size(bigger than XOOPS or php permits).
-Not shure about CBB, but most modules have settings about size in pixels too.

Try to enable PHPdebug mode (if there are two options for it try both) and look for error wnen poblem hapen.
If you have access to web server log, check there for clues.
