Hi,

It seems that I am not able to edit templates.
When I am in the admin part to edit a block (modules/system/admin.php?fct=blocksadmin&op=edit&bid=..)
and then choose to edit the template (modules/system/admin.php?fct=tplsets&op=edittpl&id=..), then I get the editor window to edit the template.
Only it is not the fckeditor or something.

At the bottom there is only a button to view the result.
No button(s) for save or cancel.

I have that problem (?) at both my life site and my home apache server.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.17.1

I did not notice whether it ever worked before, since I have not used that function before.

Any suggestion?

Jans

Hi,

you can not edit the default template set. You need to clone it (Administration -> system admin -> templates = clone). And don't forget to tell XOOPS to use the new one as default. (Administration -> system admin -> Preferences -> General settings = Default template set)

OK Stefan,

Thanks.

So, then I clone the whole set, and after that I will be able to edit them, when I need to?

Yes. And when you add new modules, you may need to generate their templates in the cloned set from system admin -> templates (There will be generate link next to modules that need their templates to be generated)

Tip1: you may try "templates admin" module from GiJoe if you plan to work lot with templates.

Tip2: XOOPS 2.0.14+ version have template override capability for themes.

you can edit even the default template set with a module from Gijoe called "Altsys"
also its diff feature is very useful.
