avatar uploading now working in xoops.org but.. there is a bug when uploading...as reported here

i have the same problem in my site...2.018

an auto resizing avatar feature should be a must in XOOPS 2.3

NO Fixed bug #1890044: redirect page is not well handled upon failure of avatar upload (phppp)

i received the same error in my website and also here in xoops.org

hope this to be fixed in the next release..

This actually happens here at Xoops? I hate saying this but.. I just tried it and it worked for me (Using Firefox). This happens all the time right?

Which browser etc did you use?
What type of image? Bmp/png/jpg?
Height/width/size of image?

I did notice that there was a problem on my testbox with version 2.181 in that after uploading a image that was to large, I couldn't upload anything else due to a 'No file uploaded' issue and I am wondering if these two are related.

Ok, I know why this is happening to you guys. When you get the error stating that you're trying to upload an image that is to large or the size is incorrect, well, instead of hitting the back button re click on the 'Edit account' in the user menu and start again. I know :/

The issue is that XOOPS checks that the form is valid and when you click on the back button basically XOOPS thinks you are trying to resend the information and invalidates the 'token'.

I will fix this and submit it to svn later.

that's what i did start all over again...after i received the error, I clicked view account and then the avatar button & only after that i can upload a new avatar...that's why i think an avatar autoresize feature just like in the yogurt module is important...not all user know how to resize the image themesleves
