1.How robust and fast XOOPS it is when it comes to thousands of concurrent users ?
2.With medium amount of visitors and modules like yogurt and event calendar on is xoops
fair on system resources in shared hosting environment ?

3. Is there support for tags and tag cloud ?
4. Is ther support for open ID or can different users on different xoop database on different servers and www domains log into each other ?

5. Below a post usually the links are read more | x no of comments
Is it possible to show this rwad more | 10 comments 3 new
6. Can individual users have their own blogs ( how or which module ) ?
7. How do I take news ( eg news module ) to the front page of the site ?

will work only in some modules..you have to create your own plugin

you can use the available blocks in the module or try >admin panel > general settings>Module for your start page

Thanks a lot for the quick reply and the useful links.

Regarding showing "new" comments to an user who has logged in I am yet unable to fond any clue as to where I can add to the code. Any clue ?

One more question : Is it possible for the site admin to set as default that attached image files like jpg are shown as inline images in the body of a news or story?
