I hear everywhere that when installing XOOPS use version 2.0 and not 2.2 because 2.0 is more stable. Especially for a production website.

Why is that? Does 2.2 crash or is there some security flaws or is it the issue with some modules not working. What is the honest reason? In my opinion stable can mean many things.

'cause there are many modules that don't work on 2.2.x , as for the crashing part...I've been using 2.2.x on a site ever since it was released as stable (2-3years back was it?!), back in the days when quote: 2.2.x is the future, 2.0 is the past quote] ...i didn't had any problem howsoever !

Post count can become minus.

Some modules don't work, due to the additional user profiles fields.

So for the most part it isn't stable because not all of the modules work?
