Yes, I have always had that problem with 'Koivi' and 'News' although sometimes I just get one or two extra line breaks. Re-editing the article and clearing the unwanted breaks is the only cure AFAIK.

It would be interesting to do some proper tests to see if the problem is with the WYSIWYG editor, News, NewBB or Xoops.

Having a 'disable line break' option in News (as many other modules do) would also be useful IMHO.
