xyp4all and php5?

Having searched around, it looks like the xyp4all module (contacts listings) doesn't work with php5

Is this correct - is it php4 only?

Has anyone degugged it for php5 and if so, can I have a copy?

Failing that, please could you good folk recommend me a "contacts" module that does categorised lists, preferably where people can be listed in more than one category?

Doesn't need to be complicated..... just names/addresses/telephone numbers and a clickable email-link per entry.

Mucho gracias

I had had problems with taht module on php5.

I use addresses in a server that run php 5 without problems.
This module has all you need

Send me a copy and I will updated it to run on PHP5. Ironic, normally it only takes a few minutes to get a module running on PHP5. :/

Catz............. you are a star turn and a true gentleman. The best option of all for me, and many others too, I should think

I'll email it over to you now; however, it's the latest version available on the dev-forge, i.e. "xyp4all 1.58 RC"

Perhaps you could rename it xyp5all?

Either way, if you get it going on php5 then I know that there are others who'd like to receive it.

The original author (Gniknalu, I think) doesn't seem to have been about for ages.

None...... I'm still on php4

However, the thread was prompted by Gniknalu's own comments about the module (v1.57, 10th March 2005) in this news item here where he says that it was developed for php4 and at least one user reports problems with php5.

The Dev Forge entry for the module says that v1.571 and 1.58 are minor bug-fixes for IE and XOOPS 2.2.x respectively.

v1.58 was released in Aug 2005 and hasn't been updated since.

I'm assuming that the minor bug-fixed don't include php5 coding, hence this thread.

There isn't really that much wrong with this module php5 wise (Even though the coding is dated.... really dated) and should run on a php5 server.

Let me play around with it a little and see what I can find that would cause the problems he mentioned.
