[Team End User] Testing CBB 4.0 (Bandit-X)

CBB 4.0 Is the Current Version Of CBB that is in Development In SVN. For Those who don't know or want to know how to use SVN can Check It Out Here.
CBB 4 And Frameworks Download Link (From SVN AUG.8.2007 A.D.).

I have packaged CBB 4 and Frameworks From SVN in a ZIP archive. (i would not suggest testing this on a live site. One of the main reasons is that Frameworks from SVN is different than the one that is on the xoopschina download section.

You Will Also Need To Download XooPS Editors From XooPS China for the module to work. ( xoops-class-xoopseditor.zip (1.10) )

So .. Test It. Hack It. Experiment With It.

Submit Bug Reports (At This Link.. Registration Required[/url]) or submit it at xoopsforge.com and someone will submit it to the tracker for you.

Would you please let me know which of the two XOOPS versions would be best to try this with. I would prefer to test it with the version that Giba provided the end-users at http://www.xoops.net.br

My question is: do I use it with the frameworks you provided in the zip package? Or IS there a download option from the China site that would be better?

Thank you in advance.

Re: [Team End User] Testing CBB 4.0 (Bandit-X)

i was testing it locally before and it didn't work with Frameworks 1.10 (the one everyone uses from the XOOPS china site). i had to use Frameworks from SVN since there were some errors on not finding functions (so i had to package those two together).

CBB 4 has some bugs and Frameworks from SVN is a bit different. I have only tested it with 2.0.16 so far. It doesn't hurt to test it out locally .

hhttp://translate.google.com/translate?u=https://xoops.org.cn ________ I don't have the means for testing it out locally, meaning not online. Would it be likely to crash the whole website or just the directory it ran from? How serious could the damage be if I tested it online? BlueStocking. End User rep.

I tested it as Bandit has suggested.

The only issue I ran into was having to delete the old tables.

Heres the best way to install this.

make a backup of all of your newbb tables (export sql)

then drop all of them.

install cbb 4.0 over cbb 3.08 (my upgrade path)

injet your old tables back into the new ones created during install of 4.0

This way you get 4.0 without losing all of your forum data.

4.0 will simply not install over 3.08 duplicate table errors, and such.

@Biteronboard, and others...
Virgin directory, no forums have been installed. Strickly a testing ground for new releases.

Now, if I can just find the time to just do it!!!
Need motivation, since I don't feel a need for a board.
