Youtube HotLink Gallery

Youtube module would be a useful tool - i have a youtube account - i would like to intergrate my youtube files into my xoop website. why use my own bandwidh.

it would work just like a picture gallery but displaying youtube movies.

Admin section - set gallery display - set permissions - categories - etc - i would be happy with something really basic.

thanks for reading.

Re: Youtube HotLink Gallery

Something like this?
It's actually a hacked version of the links module WF-Links.

Re: Youtube HotLink Gallery

XoopsTube is actually nothing more than a hacked version of the module WF-Links.
At the moment it's not available because I still have to make some changes to it.

Re: Youtube HotLink Gallery

thank you thank you thank you :) ron

i installed xoopyoutube - the "video management" section seems to be missing. i cant see how to add movies or edit them.

i created categories and granted myself permission in group section and the modules permission section.

i cant see my blocks on the mainpage :( hoping fixing the above will resolve my issues.

should i look at posting in another category for help in this matter?

thank you for your time.

Re: Youtube HotLink Gallery

First create one or more categories and set the permissions.
Then upload an image for the video, admin only.
After this you can add videos with the submit function on the frontpage or with the option 'video management' in the admin panel.

In the submit form on the frontpage it asks you for the video url. This is a typo and should read: Video Embedded code.
The code to enter is the red part in a video url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNWJG7H0WIE

I will modify that typo.

Good luck!

Re: Youtube HotLink Gallery

Hi Ron

i dont have a video management section see pic please.

Resized Image

ive set my permissions correctly i think. i cant submit movies from the frontpage as i get taken to /modules/xoopstube/submit.php

i get this message....

All new videos are subject to validation and may take up to 24 hours before they appear in our listing.
We reserve the rights to refuse any submitted video or change the content without approval.

i cant go add movies

Any ideas on how i can fixs?

many thanks
