Can anyone help me with this question?

I control an existing site, its main feature is a database of university courses which readers can search, its a really cool feature which has been built outside of XOOPS and works really well.

But here's the problem, all the other stuff the site should include would be a million times better if I could use XOOPS (like a business directory, FAQ, forum etc).

So the question is can I have a website which is basically a XOOPS site but that also includes (has links to) an existing feature which is totally separate of xoops?

I'd really appreciate any insight - thanks!

Take a look at the MyIframes module from our friends at Instant Zero - might be just what you need

Thanks JAVesey!

I've tried out the Myiframe and its a really good module which will definitely help me transfer my html pages to the new XOOPS site.

BUT, it doesn't quite do it for my searchable directory (use a php/mysql database that is outside of xoops).

When I use myiframe all the pages are the same size as the original block which is just a small "search entry box" whereas the following "search results pages" are often very long with lots of info. So either my homepage will have a small search box within a huge empty block or my results pages are all inside a tiny block.

Is there a better solution? I tried making the block "100% height" so that it will change according to the size of the included page - but that doesn't work.

Also using myiframe means the displayed url doesn't change & this isn't great because most of the pages in my website are inside this database, so most of my pages won't have a displayed url any more.

Any ideas? I've tried loads but am at a total dead end

(sorry for the long explanations!)

Cheers!
