yes, i have read the other posts on this(resulting only in a headache) but they have not solved my problem.
actually, maybe more then one problem.
1) using sendmail() php, users do not get any emails. upon trying to register, user get a blank screen.
2)using smtp and smtpauth, and a g-mail account, users get a message telling them to e-mail an administrator to activate their account.
i checked on the administrator side, and got a
Language string failed to load: instantiate
Could not send mail to webmast.
Language string failed to load: instantiate
Could not send mail to LHardy.
error.
can someone put in plain english what needs to be done? i'm not completely familiarized with javascript, nevermind PHP.
