Hello,

I received an e-mail telling me
Date/Time: June 25th, 2007 @ 4:02 PM

The following installations are not up-to-date:

Xoops:
+ / - 2.0.7.3 (2.0.16)

So I went into my CPanel and using Fantastico updated Xoops

I immediately lost all of my formatting and styles and themes associated with my site (I kind of expected this)

In order to get my site working again and looking like I wanted it to I had to overwrite just about every file and now I'm getting the old installation message again.

What files are the ones I need to replace so I can upgrade XOOPS without losing my themes/colors/stylsheet?

Is it easier to download XOOPS and swap out certain files, or is it better to let Fantastico overwrite everything and then go back and replace what files will make my site look the way it wants.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I get two of these e-mail messages a day!

Cheers

Emails telling you that installation is out of date? That's new!! Aren't you a little suspicious of this?

What is "Fantastico"?

Don't update anything in the

root/themes/
root/modules/system/templates/

These are the places that holds all your templates etc.

Catzwolf

Thank you so much...that was JUST the info I needed.

Am I to assume that if I let Fantastico do the update for me that I should REPLACE or overwrite the same folders with my backed up information?

Regards
