News Headlines - want the topic to not B visible

I am working with a news site and the client wants the topic to disappear in the headlines. <{$item_title}>

I have spent a couple of hours looking through the news templates and any possible location.

They also wanted the number of reads gone, I found that and <!-- --> out the variable, but I can't find where to stop getting the topic and putting it in the headline.

You are in luck. I just went through the same thing and spent hours on it until someone helped me out. Here is the fix:

Excellent. This is a great example of why community built software is sweet.

That did it and my client thinks i'm great - thanks to you.

I modified slightly and took the   out to get rid of the space.
