A full description of the issue:

I have set up Zen Cart I believe correctly. My products are all downloadable products everything seems to be working except, I can't download. The order is processed and I receive the download links however I get an error page when I select the download button.

The items are set up correctly in attribute controller. I am very familiar with Zen Cart and it is working properly on my other site that does not have Xoops.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you do not have much luck with this, I would recommend looking at the excellent "Bookshop" module from Instant-Zero.

This is a paid-for module, but comments from people who have used it, have been very good so far. Personally, I do not mind paying for a product if it is an investment.

What does the message on the error page say?

I get a web page can not be found

The webpage cannot be found
HTTP 404
Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address.
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date.

What you can try:
Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

In addition to this problem. When I logged back in to find the download to show you. No where did I find a MY ACCOUNT link though i was signed iinto the store. I had to place another order to get the error code

I installed Zen Cart on XOOPS 2.0.13.2 and it seemed to work, but I confess I didn't test downloads.

There is an .htaccess file in the 'download' folder that is designed to recognise a logged-in user. You could disable this temporarily to see if that is the problem.

Ecommerce modules seem a nice idea, but to protect against fraud you need full customer details on record, unlike the basic and essentially anonymous user profiles used by XOOPS and other CMS. Unless the module creates an integrated registration system, people have to register twice. I can't see the advantage of using a module compared to using a stand-alone ecommerce installation.

Personally, I would install the latest Zen Cart, hack the template to look similar to your XOOPS site and put a link to 'shop' in the XOOPS menu. Upgrades to XOOPS and Zen cart can then be undertaken without worrying about any current or future incompatibilities.
